Explore the Universe with ARistarchus!
Step into the cosmos with ARistarchus, an interactive Augmented Reality app developed under Erasmus+ Project Aristarchus to bring the solar system to life. Designed for students and educators, ARistarchus provides a unique, hands-on way to explore and understand the movements of the solar system through body engagement.
Features of ARistarchus:
- Planet Tracking and Exploration: Use individual planet trackers to view detailed AR models of each planet. Compare planetary sizes, examine rotational patterns, and study axial inclinations in an immersive 3D space.
- Interactive Season Simulation: See firsthand how Earths tilt and position relative to the Sun create seasons! With a virtual light source, observe how light interacts with the planets, demonstrating seasonal changes.
- Dynamic Orbit View: Switch to a full solar system view to see planets orbit the Sun accurately, based on real positions. Customize your experience by toggling orbits on and off, exploring how each planet journeys around the Sun.
With ARistarchus, students gain an up-close, interactive experience of planetary science—bridging the gap between theory and real-world astronomy. Unlock a new perspective on our solar system and inspire curiosity through the magic of augmented reality!
